Horvath Towers Completes Construction of Tower After 2-Year Zoning Fight

SOUTH BEND, IN - OCTOBER 18, 2007: Horvath Towers, LLC, a leading developer and manager of wireless communications towers in the Midwest, has successfully completed the construction of a communications tower that will serve wireless carriers looking to expand their service area in the Downtown LaPorte, Indiana area. The tower initially was blocked in zoning and Horvath undertook a hard-fought 2 year battle to be allowed to build the tower, which is located at 108 Clearlake Blvd., LaPorte, IN. The 195' monopole is designed to hold up to four (4) carriers and can be upgraded to accomodate others.

Horvath received Planning Commission approved on July 17, 2007, followed by Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) approval on October 17, 2007 from Evangeline Township for a 100 monopole. Horvath is excited to be breaking into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, as this is the first tower they will have built in that region. Director of Operations, Sean Boylan said, "We are pleased to have received positive feedback from Evangeline Township regarding the tower. This site will provide a great co-location opportunity for the carriers based on the past zoning difficulties. The new Tower will balance the need for coverage in downtown Boyne City while allowing them to maintain its tourist appeal."

Horvath Towers develops towers for wireless communications carriers and public safety entitites. Towers developed by Horvath are consistently rated among the highest in occupancy in their respective regions. Horvath's principal, Jackie Horvath, has established the company as a leading developer and manager of towers in the Midwest, in addition to having a presence in Pennsylvania and Texas. Horvath Communications is based in South Bend, Indiana. For more information on Horvath Communications, see www.horvathcommunications.com.
